About

The original concept for this blog revolved around human sexuality, hence the name Violeta Valery. Courtesans, specifically Parisian courtesans have always been of great interest to me. Alexandre Dumas fils’ Marguerite Gautier in La Dame aux Camelias being favorite. Glamorous sexual outcasts living in the fringes of society.

Violeta Valery was also the pseudonym a fictional character of mine used for herself, the character which inspired this blog in the first place.

Violeta’s Boudoir sought that glamour, that decadence. The concept has evolved extensively reinvention after reinvention, but it’s kept that intimacy only a boudoir can have—the musings and observations of a precocious nymphet about life, love, art, culture, and sex.
